“Strike while the iron is hot” Are you familiar with this idiomatic expression? I hope you do. In my personal belief it’s really important to always take chances. If an opportunity hits you, then go ahead and take it. It’s now or never. And if it would result to failure its okay, at least you tried. Taking opportunities are taking risks.
People take chances with different reasons whether for a career growth or for own personal reasons. We can never predict if we’re going to succeed or to fail. Don’t always hope for the best, but always DO your best. Now, if you failed then who cares? It’s no big deal at least you tried. If an opportunity is not yet given to you, then probably it’s really not for you.
These are the things I learned after I failed on one of the opportunities I grabbed. It’s quite tough but challenging. Surprisingly, my first reaction after I heard the news is just normal. I did not felt uneasy or upset. It’s simply normal. No regrets. At least, I know that I did my best, and I did a good job. But then again, I know that it’s not for me. Again, in my optimistic way of thinking, I just take this as one of the challenging times in my life. I know there are more better opportunities await me and because of that, I will never give up.
In our busy life, we tend to forget the simple things that we should be thankful for. Simple yet we can’t even thank God for the things that he had given us. When we’re in trouble we seek for him, but then if he answered our prayers, we sometimes forget to say “thank you”. Don’t you realize that you are lucky?
God provided a sun rise for us to realize that there’s still hope. He provided a meal to fill up our stomach and a comfortable home to live for. God send his guardian angels (our parents), to protect us from danger, and to guide us for a good life. That’s why we are really thankful that he maintained our parent’s safety and ours too. God has given us a good health which we sometimes abuse. Of course, to avoid starvation, he provided a source of living for us, but we still complain whether it’s about the job, salary, the boss, and the colleagues.
Sometimes, we keep ourselves busy for the things which are really not important. We tend to forget that we are so lucky to have all these things like beautiful shoes that we’re wearing (that others don’t have) and of course, a beautiful home where others live in a rotten house. It’s time for us to realize that we should stop complaining and be thankful because you still have all these things. We are lucky that he had given us wonderful blessings.
As I have mentioned in one of my posts, social bookmarking is also one of the best strategies in search engine optimization or in internet language “SEO”. One of the effective strategies in SEO or otherwise known as Search Engine Optimization is submitting to Web Directories. A friend asked me, how am I going to start submitting to these directories? And where am I going to look for it? A SEO enthusiast can start first in choosing good quality directories. It can be a good start. Of course, you can look for these directories in Google, and Yahoo. Two of the top Web Directories I know are DMOZ and BOTW. There is also another business web directory which is also good, it’s Bussiness.com.
After searching for SEO friendly web directory the next step is to start submitting your blog or website to them. But wait! Before you submit make sure that your site is live and no errors in the pages. And also before submitting, you may try to list down all the details a directory might need from you such as Link, and Description of your site or blog. I suggest that you don’t go for a reciprocal linking. There are web directories that require reciprocal linking. In SEO, two or three way linking is bad. Go for one way linking. Good practice makes good business!
If things are ready you may now start submitting. But make sure to have a file wherein you have all the list of web directories. Tip: “Don’t forget to back up files”. Upon submission, be sure to select the relevant category to your blog. Relevant topics and relevant keywords can attract search engines especially Google and Yahoo.
In SEO, you don’t have to be expert you just have to be patient and hard working. Trends in technology nowadays, there a lot of ways and strategies to be on top of search engines, but always put in mind that whether you use black hat SEO strategy it will always safer to use good SEO practice. Yesterday, I was blog hopping around our company’s intranet and reading some of my favorite blogs. I’ve come across an “Operational Excellence” blog which is really interesting (it really motivates me more in my work everytime I read the posts). The thought of the post is mainly the difference between Performance and Growth which he expounded very well. Because I am interested with the topic, I’ve come up a formula. (Performance + Growth = Career Success).
What is the formula all about? To explain further, Performance is where you develop skills, knowing the capabilities, and reaching beyond the goals. For me it’s one of the essential things to keep in mind. If an employee exceeded his or her goals, he has a good performance. On the other hand, Growth (where is actually a Career Growth), comes in if an employee already achieved those goals and sharpen his skills. With a good performance and of course a good career growth, a person will absolutely have a successful career ahead of him. And because I’m really inspired to share the things that I learned, I will write a follow up post on this. It’s about how you can have a good performance, and how to achieve career growth.
I’m happy to say that yesterday, I’ve learned something!
In some relationships, women sometimes fail to remember their worth. Most especially when she gave up everything that nothing left but love for her hubby/boyfie. I think the only reason why a woman gave up everything for her man is simply because she loves him. Yeah, she loves him more than enough not to love her own self. Pathetic but true.
At times, some women also stop thinking about what’s good for them but rather thinking on their partner’s happiness. Always focuses her time and attention to him. Obviously, it’s a “pathetic-obsessive” attitude. I called it as “pathetic-obsessive” because it’s so depressing that SOME women are pathetically obsessed!
Women like us sometimes observe less especially when we’re blinded by the so called “love”. We are not even aware that boys have power over us. Can you imagine that? If your man knows how weak you are, he will “intentionally or unintentionally” overpower you. As I’ve mentioned earlier, MOST women are “pathetic-obsessive”. So, women might give up everything they have, because they are crazy in love with their man.
That’s an attitude where ladies should hide from men. Always keep a secret for your self. Don’t let him know your weaknesses. Or else, he might use this against you. You are weak inside, but you have to be strong outside. Remember to take control of your feelings. Don’t show too many emotions. Be firm yet sweet. Finally, take control of your man. Don’t be too aggressive on him. Be effortless yet loving.

Sometimes it’s hard for a writer or a blogger to write things especially when they feel uncertain to the topics that they’re going to write. Just like me, there are instances that I don’t know what to blog about. Most especially when I’m busy doing office stuffs. A friend told me that I should listen to inspiring songs that could really touch my feelings. And so I browse in the Internet to the songs that could inspire me to write.
