How to change your Wordpress Theme without using FTP Client
If you are new to Blogging and you might want to change your Wordpress theme. You can actually do these simple steps:
- Search for your desired Theme in Google. Use the keywords “Free Wordpress Themes”
- Download it in Cpanel.
- Go to ( yourwebsite.com/cpanel ). Then enter your username and password. If you don’t’ know your Cpanel log in details, contact the company where you had your hosting.
- In your Cpanel account, Go to Files > File Manager.
- In File Manager Directory Selection. Choose Public FTP Root (public_ftp) > Click Go.
- You will be redirected to File Manager page. Click on public_html > wp-content > themes.
- On the right side of the page, you can see the list of themes you have.
- Now, Go to Upload > Browse > Click “Back to /home/yourusername/public_html/wp-content/themes”.
- You can now access the template you have just downloaded. Right click on the file > Extract.
3. Activate it in your Blog site dashboard.
- Go to ( yourwebsite.com/wp-admin ). Enter username and password.
- Click on Design > Available Themes (Choose the theme you have just uploaded).
- Click Activate.
You may now visit your site and enjoy your new theme!
Note: This is only applicable for those who have their own domains. For example: yoursite.com and not yoursite.wordpress.com.

Hello. Thank you for the visit and tip but I came across this tip with FTP methods but still I cant manipulate the new theme since the hosting was made through wordpress panel. I quite made a mistake instead of getting a domain first before setting up a blog. However, I still hope that you have a tip to make through adding a new theme with a wordpress hosted.

Hi cieaura,
Thank you for the compliment. However, I don’t accept guest writers at the moment because I still want to enhance my writing skills. So the posts here are all originally written by me.
