Get connected and be heard! Join MTV Merge
As we all know, music industry is also one of the hit business today. And there are so many young talents who want to try their luck in this industry.
In line with MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration they have planned out to have a contest for all music talents who are specifically new and fresh! It’s called MTV Emerge. The aim is to show case Filipino talents around the Globe. All music enthusiasts from different genres can join (rock, hip-hop, r&b, etc). Another concept of MTV Emerge is that it’s also an online music community (just like Imeem) where everybody can get connected and be heard!
Now, if you are interested, you may log on to their site (www.mtvemerge.com). Register and edit your profile, some photos, and upload your coolest music you want to be the entry on the said contest. If these things are up and running, you must take note to get connected with the people around MTV Emerge community. If you want to be a rock star, you have to be famous. Don’t’ just upload it and do nothing because it’s a public voting process. Gain more friends and gain more votes.
Take note also that a total of 7 winners will be selected by the judges including Apl.de.Ap on November 20, 2009. A piece of trivia, Jeepney Music is founded by Apl.de.Ap and a Black Eyed Peas member. After the winners will be announced, they will be offered a one-year contract with Jeepney Music and stunningly mentored by Apl.de.Ap. So cool, isn’t it?
The said contract includes 3-6 songs, and may have the chance to be offered not only in Philippine market but also International Markets. The announcement of winners and a showcase of their talents will be on November 27, 2009.
